A brutal reality occurs in our state – day after day. It is the most detestable practice carried out by modern society. Behind sterile clinic doors, thousands of tiny human beings are quietly executed.
It is a secret, so shocking, so controversial, that you have to see it, to believe it. Our society simply calls it abortion.
Sadly, the beauty and safety of the most amazing place – the mother’s womb, has become a place of horrific atrocity for the baby who is not wanted.
Now, 90,000 unborn babies are aborted every year in Australia – 5,000 in South Australia. One baby is aborted for every three born. These infants are dismembered without pain relief, and then referred to as ‘medical waste’, so they can be easily disposed of into garbage bins and later incinerated.
More disturbingly, babies are actually surviving abortions in South Australia but are then simply left on tables to die alone. Up to 14 aborted babies die gasping for breath every year in our State.

The fact is, no one can say that a photograph of an unborn child at around 8 – 9 weeks doesn’t look human – unless he has very poor vision, or is not of sound mind; or worst still, lives in self-deceit of the most extreme form. Yet in South Australia abortions are legal up to 28 weeks and most take place well after 8 weeks, with 97% being carried out for social and economic reasons.
Again, even the most basic investigation into any of the medical sciences reveals the unborn child is a whole, separate, unique, living human being. In addition to all of this, we are now seeing a strong link between rising social and economic problems and society’s disregard for the unborn. As social commentator Richard Grant said:
“There is increasing evidence that abortion is linked to an increased incidence of social and health disorders, such as marriage breakdown, child abuse, mental and physical illness, drug abuse, breast cancer and suicide.….Our failure to protect the unborn is exacting a high price, and the longer we wait the higher the financial and social bill will be for us, our children and our grand-children.” click here
